Gail Palmer

Gail is a founding member of the Ottawa Couple and Family Institute and co-director of the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT), where she chairs the Education Committee. With over 20 years of experience, she has trained and supervised therapists in EFT, leading Externships, Core Skills Trainings, and workshops across Canada, the U.S., and Europe. Passionate about family therapy, she has contributed to the development and writing of Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT). Co-author of Becoming an Emotionally Focused Couple Therapist: The Workbook, Gail holds a Master’s in Social Work, is a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist in Canada, an AAMFT-approved Supervisor, and a lecturer at Carleton and St. Paul’s University in Ottawa.

Jim Furrow

James L. Furrow, Ph.D., is a leading expert in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples and families. He has authored and edited five EFT texts, including Emotionally Focused Family Therapy: Restoring Connection and Promoting Resilience and Becoming an Emotionally Focused Therapist: The Workbook. His research on couple therapy and youth development appears in top publications. A clinical fellow and approved supervisor with AAMFT, he is also a Certified Family Life Educator. Jim co-founded the Los Angeles Center for EFT and is an ICEEFT-certified EFT therapist, supervisor, and trainer.

Lisa Palmer-Olsen

Dr. Lisa J. Palmer-Olsen, Psy.D., is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Certified EFT Trainer, and AAMFT-approved Supervisor with over 20 years of experience. She specializes in family systems, high-conflict couples, trauma, and attachment injuries. As Co-Director of Renova San Diego and Clinical Director of the Alliant Couple and Family Clinic, she is dedicated to accessible mental health services and clinician training. Trained by EFT founder Dr. Susan Johnson, she earned her MFT doctorate from Alliant International University, where she now supervises and teaches EFT.

Kathryn de Bruin

Kathryn de Bruin is a Marriage and Family Therapist, Certified EFT Trainer, and Supervisor with a private practice in San Diego, CA. She specializes in working with children, couples, and families, teaches Play Therapy, and hosts The Family Express podcast on Emotionally Focused Family Therapy. Author of A Jumble of Thoughts and a Tangle of Feelings, she provides guidance for helping children navigate emotions. George Faller

George Faller, MS, LMFT, is a former NYC Firefighter and Police Officer whose 9/11 experience ignited his passion for trauma therapy. A certified EFT trainer, supervisor, and therapist, he is the founder and president of the New York Center for EFT and a supervisor with AAMFT. He teaches at the Ackerman Institute and directs training at the Greenwich Center for Hope & Renewal. George works with diverse populations, from Wall Street executives to military personnel, and is committed to making EFT accessible.
